Easter 3

Free Resource

Description

Last week we heard the story from John’s gospel where Thomas needed to “see” the risen Jesus in order to believe. This week, the third Sunday in the season of Easter, we continue to explore how Jesus’ followers made sense of what had happened to Jesus, this time from the Gospel of Luke.

In this story we journey with two of Jesus followers as they walk on the road to Emmaus. Who are these two? One of them is named Cleopas, but we have no way of knowing who the other one is, as they are not named. Is it a man? A woman? We cannot know, although many scholars have wondered.
