Description
Now for something completely (well, at least, very) different! Rather than the usual Intergen-generated ideas, this extra-special Christ the King resource highlights four lectionary-aligned sources that can be utilised not just for the Year B Christ the King Sunday but also throughout the entire Lectionary Cycle…
- StoryPath
- Bible Explore
- Mustard Seeds
- Worshiping with Children
StoryPath equips those who nurture faith by connecting God’s story with the stories in our lives so that we see the presence of God in everyday life. Each story is linked to a faith review that explores the book’s ties to scripture and includes ideas for using the book to prompt conversation that enriches faith.
Bible Explore contains lectionary-based material that cycles through years A, B and C of the Revised Common Lectionary. Compiled and maintained by Strandz in New Zealand, Bible Explore also includes a ‘Bible’ section – a hub for bible resources that can be accessed outside of the lectionary cycle.
Mustard Seeds includes an eclectic mix of suggested images, songs, prayers, poems, dramas and talk/sermon ideas for each week of the Revised Common Lectionary cycle. It is maintained and regularly updated by by Ann Scull – a retired (but working in a supply ministry role) Minister of the Word in parish ministry in the Uniting Church in Australia.
Worshiping with Children resources have been compiled by Carolyn C. Brown. Carolyn is a certified Christian educator and children’s ministry consultant from the USA who believes children belong in the sanctuary as participants and leaders. She is the author of numerous books on including children in worship.
