Description

Today we are focusing on the need to be planted in ways that connect us with God. There is some rich and stark imagery that the Bible uses to describe how our lives might look for those who listen to human advice, or trust in themselves, instead of following God’s advice and trusting in God. These resources provide opportunities to explore different Bible texts, and the imagery they contain, and to consider how they apply to our lives as disciples of Jesus. There is also an opportunity to explore what it means for us and our faith if Christ is dead. We can easily gloss over the words that Christ is alive due to their familiarity so we are invited to take some time to consider the implications of Christ being dead or alive so we can hear this afresh for ourselves and celebrate this truth.
