Description

The advent liturgy uses the symbols of native seed pods (Hope), leaves (Peace), flowers (Joy) and bark (Love) eg. Banksia/Currajong/Eucalyptus/Coranderrk for each week’s theme.
A couple of volunteers add a layer of the item for that week to the wreath.
Spare pods/leaves/flowers/bark can also be offered to be taken home by congregation members as a reminder of the theme.
Following the bringing of the symbols, lighting of the candle and the spoken liturgy, sing the verse of the song and then the previous weeks verses as well (in reverse order)
