Description
Over the last two weeks, the Intergen resources have focused on God’s spiritual blessings for us, and how God draws near to us to unify, nurture, comfort, and protect.
This week, the resources continue to focus on how God interacts with us, this time focussing on how God provides.
The 2 Kings 4:42-44 and John 6:1-21 readings both tell of how God miraculously provided food for large groups of people. In both readings, we become aware of God’s abundant provision, and in contrast, we also see how readily humans doubt and are limited by our worldly perspective.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if, instead of limiting God with our doubts and insecurities, we could be expectant and open to God’s possibilities? Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could join with David, in Psalm 145, and praise God with words, and phrases, such as…
- You are faithful
- You are just
- You are kind
- You are everlasting
- You are near
- You are a God of mighty deeds
This week, through art, drama, listening, reading and prayer, these resources will help us reflect on how God provides for us, and on the times in our lives when we’ve doubted, or limited what God can do.
The four resources can be used together or used as stand-alone resources.
